About Us

Jeanette Chrouser founded TLC for Seniors, LLC in August 1999. She had worked in long-term care facilities and rehab facilities as a speech language pathologist. Many of the patients in the facilities she worked in could have stayed in their own homes if they had the proper care. After providing services for years to seniors through TLC for Seniors, it became apparent to Jeanette that there are individuals of all ages who need affordable home care, so she changed the name to TLC Home Care, LLC.

We are proud to have been nominated for and named a finalist for the Small Business of the Year Award from the Wausau Area Chamber of Commerce.

We have been in business 19 years

For over 19 years Jeanette Chrouser, who started the company, has dedicated her life to ensuring the comfort and care of TLC’s clients who have become like family. Beginning her journey as a Certified Nursing Assistant and moving on to receive her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Communicative Disorders, she’s had a wide range of experiences working with youth and the elderly. Her places of employment ranged from nursing homes to schools where she’s worked with individuals as young as pre-schoolers and as far as end-of-life support. Her goal for creating TLC Home Care was to make a difference in individuals’ lives by improving quality of life. After years of operation and countless heartfelt thank you’s from families and loved ones, it’s clear that TLC has done just that.
